John Pearson

Chief Executive, Intelligentsia Worldwide

John began his career in International Banking in London and New York. After receiving an MBA from INSEAD, he worked for 10 years in the Manufacturing & Technology sectors, gaining extensive experience in: strategic planning, M&A due diligence, marketing management, communications research and planning, competitive analysis and strategy. In 1990, after spotting a need for the provision of more granular and actionable competitive analysis, he founded Competitive Intelligence & Consulting. Since then John has worked on hundreds of competitive and market intelligence projects and he has spoken about Competitive Intelligence topics. Under his leadership as CEO, John has established Intelligentsia Worldwide as a leading international intelligence consultancy.

Julian Price

Managing Director - EMEA

Julian joined Intelligentsia in 2006 as Practice Head, Consumer Products & Retail/Infrastructure & Business Services. He began his career in brand marketing at Associated British Foods and has over 17 years senior management experience, gained from client-side roles in the Consumer Packaged Goods and the Consumer Information industries. He has worked internationally in both B2C and B2B markets, and brings to his clients a depth of sector expertise that enables them to maximise the value of the market intelligence, competitive intelligence and insight that Intelligentsia is able to provide.

Paul Bailey

Practice Head, Financial & Professional Services

Paul's career in financial services includes 20 years spent with Barclays Bank Plc. During this period Paul lead business units both within the UK and internationally in Switzerland and the Middle East. His banking knowledge extends across a wide range of areas ranging from retail and corporate banking, credit cards, e-banking solutions, merchant acquiring to international and offshore banking. Paul brings extensive knowledge of the financial services sector to Intelligentsia.

Jessica Smithline

Client Services Director & Acting Practice Head, TMT, The Americas

Jessica began her career in product marketing at L'Oreal and has 14 years of international marketing and business development experience, with a variety of professional services firms and technology start-ups in Paris, London and New York. Jessica's depth and breadth of experience in the ICT sector ensures that she understands clients' business issues and can provide competitive insights to help them make confident business decisions. She is responsible for client services, major account development and managing the TMT practice .

Christian Swalmius-Dato

Practice Head, TMT EMEA/ Energy & Renewables

After 13 years in sales, marketing and creative roles in the media in several European markets, Christian gained experience in commercial due diligence before joining Intelligentsia more than eight years ago. He combines considerable knowledge of the TMT & Energy sectors with a track record of creative thinking, effective insights and practical recommendations on clients' competitive positions.

Craig Ridsdale

Practice Head, Healthcare, EMEA

Craig began his career in pharmaceuticals research & development over 20 years ago, then building on a direct selling role, gained expertise from senior roles in both sales and marketing, including international experience as Sales Director for a European subsidiary of a leading pharmaceutical company. More recent experience includes working in a start-up pharmaceutical company as a Regional Business Director. Craig's expertise covers R&D, sales, marketing and an in-depth knowledge of the UK's National Health Service. Craig is knowledgeable about the use of competitive intelligence in the Healthcare industry and is an experienced war game facilitator.

Kevin Renahan

Practice Head, Healthcare,
The Americas

Kevin has extensive and in-depth experience of the global healthcare industry, having held multiple and increasingly senior positions within the US pharmaceuticals sector for 25 years. Kevin began his career in pharmaceutical sales and progressed through sales management, sales training, recruiting and human resources, medical affairs, commercial drug development, in line and strategic marketing. He has been involved with both small and large molecules and diverse delivery systems. Kevin's expertise and skills enable him to provide valued advice about the dynamic and complex pharmaceutical and healthcare environments in the Americas.

Hans Boutier

Head of Finance & Administration

After moving to the UK in the late 90’s and spending several years in management accounting positions within the services industry, Hans worked for Europe's leading vending machine and cashless equipment manufacturer as its UK Financial Controller. Hans joined Intelligentsia Worldwide in 2005 and is responsible for the company's financial management, administration and systems. He holds a « Maîtrise de Science Technique Comptable et Financière » from Paris XII University, and is fluent in French and Spanish.
