Vacancy: Research Analyst, Healthcare

The Position

Intelligentsia's Healthcare Practice has a vacancy for a Research Analyst who will be responsible for planning and fulfilling the unit's client engagements.

Our Healthcare practice specialises in delivering intelligence lead solutions to business problems for the world's leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, using our innovate thinking and in-depth sector expertise.

The Role

The Research Analyst will be an integral member of the Healthcare team and will work closely with the Senior Research Analyst and Head of Practice on the following activities:

• drafting proposals and liaising with clients
• planning & managing projects
• conducting in-depth desk research
• planning and fulfilling face to face and phone interviews
• producing quality analysis, insights and actionable recommendations
• delivering engaging, well presented project de-briefings
• facilitating post project workshops, war games and scenario planning
• assisting clients implement the agreed actions from their projects
• Helping develop and guide junior researchers within the practice

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have a desire to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and how it interacts with the Department of Health and NHS. The candidate will have advanced analytical and communication skills, and be able to produce high quality reports and presentations. The role requires the candidate to present ideas confidently, effectively and persuasively to our clients and work efficiently to tight deadlines.

Education

Candidate will have a minimum 2.1 degree in a biological science (e.g. biochemistry, biology, biomedical science, pharmacology, medicine) and either a postgraduate Masters or PhD in a science field or at least 2 years experience within industry or the NHS. Fluency in a second major European language would be useful for client work within Europe, but not essential. Extensive MS PowerPoint skills are a prerequisite.
