Vacancy: Research Executive - ICT

The Position

Intelligentsia's ICT business unit has a vacancy for a talented researcher who has the potential to develop into a first class analyst, then into a project manager and ultimately to become a client services manager and consultant.

The Company

Intelligentsia Worldwide is a London and New York based business insight consultancy that delivers bespoke market and competitive intelligence and M&A research for corporate clients.

The Role

The Research Executive will be an integral member of the ICT team and will work closely with Senior Research Analysts and the Head of Practice. The main elements of the role are to:

Understand the project research requirements
Carry out internet and other secondary research
Extract, source, collate, and synthesise relevant data
Plan, set up and conduct primary research interviews
Write up, source and collate the findings from the interviews
Corroborate key findings and synthesise the research into concise reports.

The Candidate

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate: work experience or knowledge and enthusiasm for the ICT sector; secondary and primary research skills and experience; some understanding of company structures and business concepts; curiosity, intelligence, determination, numeracy, creativity and good written and oral communications.

Education

Evidence of the candidate's work and educational attainments, which should ideally include a good university degree, will be required. Fluency in a second major European language would be a distinct advantage.

In terms of personal development, the successful candidate would first be trained and must become proficient at using a repertoire of research methods and techniques. A more senior position within the company is attained progressively when data analysis, report writing, presentation, project management, customer service and consultancy skills are mastered respectively.
